Critiques are to help direct but do not teach. Please view our teaching classes and subscriptions if you require more help.
A response would look something like:
“ I like this and this about your piece. I think those parts of the process stand out and can be developed further to create a cohesive style. Be mindful about muddying your colors. You may want to practice working in layers. Work on those until next time. “

To keep your work focal point worthy we recommend:
Place your piece in an area with bright indirect light. Fancy bonus points for archival accent lights. Frame with glass if the work is on paper.
Dust happens. All of our works on gallery wrapped canvas, canvas panel & gesso board are varnished with an archival quality crystal clear gloss varnish making dusting a breeze. Dust with a slightly damp cotton cloth. Original paintings on paper are varnished with an archival spray varnish and will need to be framed
